Armadillo WHQ demolition by Scott Newton

from 600.00

Taken during the demolition of the Armadillo World Headquarters in 1981 by photographer Scott Newton from our exclusive collection, The Scott Newton Archive.

Available as a signed, limited edition photographic print

Photographers notes: Armadillo World Headquarters demolition. 1981. Austin, Texas. Someday, future Austinites will wonder why we didn't save the birthplace of the thriving Austin, Texas music scene. They saved the Alamo, after all, and they LOST that battle... I'll never understand why we didn't save the Armadillo -- the starting place of so much good.
