Dustin recalls: One of the band’s ideas was kind of a 007 look, wearing tuxedos, drinking champagne, with Roddy (on the right) holding a leather bound man on a leash. I took it one step further, paying homage to the James Bond For Your Eyes Only poster.

Press shoot for their record, Sol Invictus, in San Francisco – October, 2014.

Dustin recalls: I reached out to the folks at San Francisco City Hall about getting a permit to shoot on the grand staircase. They were cool and just said to be quick, and try to do it in the morning when it’s less busy. We got there at 3pm... We checked in at the security desk with a man wearing a full leather gimp suit, including mask. The guard shook his head, gave us a chuckle and let us in. I quickly set up one light and placed the guys on this beautiful staircase. I started to sweat when I noticed a wedding reception at the top of the stairs. But no one even seemed to noticed us. Then it dawned on me that because the guys were wearing tuxes, people probably thought I was the wedding photographer. But what about the gimp? I feel like if this were anywhere else we would have ended up on the evening news. I love San Francisco.
