JOY DIVISION

Formed in Manchester in the late 1970s, Joy Division was a post-punk band that helped shape the darker, more introspective side of alternative music. Led by Ian Curtis’s haunting vocals and lyrics, their sound was marked by minimalist guitar, brooding basslines, and emotional intensity. Despite a short lifespan due to Curtis’s tragic death, albums like “Unknown Pleasures” and “Closer” left a profound mark on modern music.
