LOU REED

Leonard Cohen was a Canadian poet, novelist, and singer-songwriter known for his deep voice, philosophical lyrics, and somber tone. Blending folk, pop, and spiritual themes, he created enduring works like “Hallelujah,” “Suzanne,” and “Bird on the Wire.” His music explored love, loss, and faith with rare poetic depth, earning him a place among the most revered songwriters of all time.

Photographer’s notes: Lou Reed in the greenroom after show. Austin Opry House 1978. It was every bit as cool as you'd think. He was smart, but prickly. Everyone could tell he wasn't someone you'd want to piss off. The show had an edge, the audience had it, too. All of my live shots were unattractive to me; they didn't get to his essence at all... but this little greenroom vignette catches him pretty well.

You can add framing to your print purchase if needed, or simply order the print unframed. Our framing service is provided by a reputable, local professional custom framer here in Austin. Prints are framed in a classic museum-style frame using archival techniques. This consists of a 3" white matt, plain black wood surround, and conservation clear, UV-protected glass. Upgrade to non-glare museum glass for an additional fee.
