THE RUNAWAYS

The Runaways were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in the mid-1970s, best known as one of the first all-female groups to break into the male-dominated world of hard rock. With songs like “Cherry Bomb” and “Queens of Noise,” they delivered raw, rebellious energy and a fierce teenage attitude that challenged expectations. Featuring future stars like Joan Jett and Lita Ford, The Runaways blazed a trail for women in rock, proving that swagger, volume, and attitude weren’t just for the boys—and leaving a lasting legacy as true rock ‘n’ roll pioneers.
