“This was the first of our encounters. I was sent to Sheffield to shoot this cover story for the Big Issue in 2003. I was being rushed by their PR to hurry but the band were into the shoot. We pushed it for another twenty minutes and then had to stop but got a real big set of images. Alex was as confident then as he is now. He was talking with such enthused confidence of the impact they were about to make on the music scene. I hadn’t heard much at that point but he was right to be confident. This session was was bought by the label for press and was one of their first sessions.
I recently shot the cover story for Mojo Magazine of the guys. Amazing to see the development of this band.”
