Doug Sahm, taken at The Armadillo WHQ in 1973 by photographer Scott Newton from our exclusive collection, The Scott Newton Archive.
Available as a signed, limited edition photographic print, comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Photographer Notes: Little Doug Saldana started playing as a child of 5 in San Antonio. He was a prodigy as a child and a dynamo as an adult. Always in motion, talking as fast as a Texan could talk (maybe faster), he could talk for long minutes without taking a breath...anyway, Doug was a Big Deal for a good long while here in Austin...and I miss him. He was a good friend.
You can add framing to your print purchase if needed, or simply order the print unframed. Our framing service is provided by a reputable, local professional custom framer here in Austin. Prints are framed in a classic museum-style frame using archival techniques. This consists of a 3" white matt, plain black wood surround, and conservation clear, UV-protected glass. Upgrade to non-glare museum glass for an additional fee.
