Photographer notes: There were two shows in Dublin and Cork where U2 was the main attraction. Between those dates, the band embarked on a small tour of the southern Irish counties, as support to Irish showbands - middle-of-the-road outfits who played the current Top 10 hits. In the village hall venues the largest crowds were generally about 50 people. Very few had come to see U2 but the band won the audiences over most of the time at least. A few short years later they would be selling out stadiums
