Foo Fighters "The Storm" by Dustin Rabin

from $800.00

Signed limited edition print of Dave Grohl with the Foo Fighters by Dustin Rabin

Festival d’Été in Québec City, Canada – July 11, 2015.

Dustin recalls : During the walk to the stage it started to rain. By the time they started playing, it was a monsoon. The 80,000 fans in attendance had waited 15 years for Foo Fighters come back to Québec City, so they weren’t going anywhere. Before the end of the first song, the band was so wet it was comical. Not only was the wind blowing rain straight onto the stage, but there was a waterfall pouring down from the roof that was also blowing back onto the band. They were probably getting more soaked than the crowd. During the fourth song the band was rushed off the stage because now there was lightning, and Dave was sitting in his giant metal throne. We sat in the dressing room waiting for the storm to pass, but it got so bad that the festival organizers ordered the crowd to leave for their safety. So I started flipping through the photos on my camera. When I got to this one I nudged Dave to have a look. He said “Dude! Send it to me so I can post it!” I told him to hang on while I grabbed my laptop, but he was too excited to wait. So Dave took a picture of the screen on the back of my camera with his phone, and that’s version the photo that ended up all over social media with his caption “Mother Nature always wins.”
