“I remember being a little concerned when being asked to shoot this cover story of Jarvis for the Big Issue. I don’t know why because i’m not normally weirded out about these things. I think i thought for some strange reason i thought we’d have no common ground so i was a little intimidated. In fact I couldn’t have been further wrong about this as Jarvis was totally charming and humble. I think we shot about eight rolls of 120mm film on my Mamiya that day. It seemed to go slowly as we were having a great conversation as we were working. Almost every image was usable as he was just incredible to shoot. He made it very easy for me..
This was shot in 2010 at the London Royal school of Art where Jarvis has received an Honorary Degree.”
