Photographer’s Notes: Jerry Jeff Walker. Gruene Hall, Gruene, Texas. 1980. The good ol' drinkin' buddy persona served Jerry Jeff pretty well. This image gets at the charm and the complexity of the eternal dance between inspiration and intoxication. One of my favorite portraits.
