Guitarists often head for the nearest guitar shop when they get a day off on the road. On this British tour Noel Gallagher had an afternoon off with Johnny Marr. Together with Jason Rhodes, Noel's guitar tech, they visited guitar shops in the Leeds area. Noel told me how thrilled he had been when Johnny Marr gave him one of his guitars in the early days when he was broke. Now he was able to buy any guitar that took his fancy. He couldn't get over that.
