Jerry Jeff Walker, The Lost Gonzo Band and Leon Russell, taken at the 4th July Picnic in 1976 by photographer Scott Newton from our exclusive collection, The Scott Newton Archive.
Available as a signed, limited edition photographic print
Photographer’s Notes: Opening act, July 4, 1976 Picnic, Gonzales, TX Jerry Jeff Walker and the Lost Gonzo Band with Leon Russell on Piano and Steven Fromholz singing. A photograph can only give you a window on a scene, but when it's done right your mind can fill in the stuff out of frame with no problem. I call this shot "Wires" because they seem to connect what we see with the whole rest of the world.
